ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY:
The current immediate need is for a total of six psychiatrists: four psychiatrists in the Forensic Division and two psychiatrists in the Addiction Services Division (one on a men’s substance abuse rehabilitation unit and the other on a coed substance abuse rehabilitation unit)
Hours: The work schedule is M-F: 8 AM-4:30 PM, no call is involved.
Requirements: Board eligible, board certified preferred, basic computer skills (email, Word) and good communication and interpersonal skills.
The hospital works within an interdisciplinary team approach: psychologists, social workers, nurses and nursing staff, rehabilitation staff, substance abuse counselors, etc. Hospital employed primary care providers are assigned to each unit to assist the psychiatrists with medical issues and to complete all history and physical assessments.
Each psychiatrist attends to up to 20 patients, the length of stay in the ASD is approx. 28 days and in the FD it is longer with an intermediate length of stay.
