Child Psychiatrist - (Psychiatry -Child) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: Part Time
A Child Psychiatrist (locum tenens) is needed in an outpatient facility in Philadelphia, PA. The job starts ASAP and is an ongoing assignment. It is part-time and youngest age seen is 5 years old. Child psychiatry (locum tenens) involves the diagnosis and treatment of feeling, thinking, and behavioral disorders affecting children, adolescents, and their families. Diagnostic assessments give attention to the physical, emotional, educational, cognitive, genetic, developmental, family, peer, and social aspects. An unified approach in child psychiatry, to effectively treat patients, may involve individual, group, or family psychotherapy, medication, and consultation with other physicians or professionals from schools, juvenile courts, social agencies, or other community organizations.
Required Qualifications
An active Pennsylvania State License is required
Must feel comfortable seeing children, youngest age seen is 5
Preferred Qualifications
Open to Board Eligible candidates and Board Certified
