Physiatrist - Physician - (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation - PM&R) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 01/02/2015Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Adult Physiatrist provider is needed in Madison, Wisconsin for January ongoing. Coverage hours are Monday - Friday 8 am-5 pm with night and weekend call coverage. The physician will see 8 to 9 patients per day in an acute care setting. No procedures required. Call Staff Care today if you would like to hear more about this opportunity.
Also known as physiatry, physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM R) (locum tenens) is a medical specialty that is concerned with the diagnosis and treatment of patients with physical or cognitive disabilities. A physiatrist is a physician who specializes in the treatment of functionally limiting conditions and is trained in managing and facilitating rehabilitation from neurological or musculoskeletal disorders. Ultimately a specialty concerned with quality of life, physiatrists work closely with patients to bring about a return of functional capacities.
Required Qualifications
Provider needs to have a clean and active Wisconsin state license.
Preferred Qualifications
Physical Medicine and Rehab Physician needs to be comfortable using computers.
Facility currently uses Epic electronic medical records system.
