Physiatrist - Physician - (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation - PM&R) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Adult Physiatrist/PMR provider is needed in southwest Louisiana for April 12th -20th. Coverage hours are Monday - Friday 8 am-5 pm with night and weekend call coverage. The physician will see 10 to 12 patients per day in an acute care setting. No procedures required. Call Staff Care today if you would like to hear more about this opportunity.
Also known as physiatry, physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM R) (locum tenens) is a medical specialty that is concerned with the diagnosis and treatment of patients with physical or cognitive disabilities. A physiatrist is a physician who specializes in the treatment of functionally limiting conditions and is trained in managing and facilitating rehabilitation from neurological or musculoskeletal disorders. Ultimately a specialty concerned with quality of life, physiatrists work closely with patients to bring about a return of functional capacities.
