Physiatrist - Physician - (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation - PM&R) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
A Physiatrist is needed in South Texas for immediate coverage. The schedule is June 17-June 24, Monday-Friday 8-2:30. Schedule will then change to two days per week thereafter.The physician will see adult patients and will be responsible for pain management via procedures such as epidural injections and nerve blocks. Also known as physiatry, physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) (locum tenens) is a medical specialty that is concerned with the diagnosis and treatment of patients with physical or cognitive disabilities. A physiatrist is a physician who specializes in the treatment of functionally limiting conditions and is trained in managing and facilitating rehabilitation from neurological or musculoskeletal disorders. Ultimately a specialty concerned with quality of life, physiatrists work closely with patients to bring about a return of functional capacities.
Required Qualifications
Consideration will be given to both board eligible and board certified candidates.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with EMR is preferred.
