Excellent Opportunity for a Pediatric Surgeon in a Beautiful Area of North Carolina - only 30min to the Beach & Ocean! Teach the doctors of tomorrow - Today! The Department of Surgery is seeking a full time Pediatric Surgeon to be part of a three person division. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced surgeon to help guide further development of a growing program, which includes immediate plans for a 3-story addition to be completed in 2013. This Health System provides inpatient, outpatient and preventive community care to over 1.3 million people living in 29 eastern North Carolina counties. You’ll have an incredible network of pediatric subspecialty support including: Neonatology, Hospitalists, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Intensivists, Pulmonology, Endocrinology, Cardiology and Hematology/Oncology. The Department of Surgery is a growing department with over 30 full time faculty members providing a broad range of surgical services. The department has a national and international reputation in bariatric and minimally invasive surgery, surgical oncology and trauma and surgical critical care. In conjunction with the Hospital it seeks to develop world-class services related to the care of the pediatric patient. Candidates must be Board Certified in Pediatric Surgery and have excellent clinical skills and a commitment to education and/or research.
