•Seeking BC/BE Pediatric Surgeon to join hospital-employed practice.
•Tertiary referral center for central, eastern, and northern Maine, tresting premature neonates, infants, children, and adolescents with round the clock coverage.
• This coverage is provided by Surgeons, neonatologist, pediatric intensivists, and anesthesiologists.
•Sites outside the operating rooms, where this care is provided, include the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), the Continuing Care Nursery (CCN), and the general pediatric floor.
•Our pediatric board certified surgeons are the only ones, north of Portland, who provide general and specialized surgical services to our little patients suffering from a wide range of congenital and acquired conditions.
•Inpatient Pediatric Specialties at EMMC include: Oncology, Trauma, Cardiology, Rehabilitation medicine, Pediatric surgery, Intensive care, Urology, Orthopaedics, Respiratory medicine.
• Child and Adolescent Care Center is designed with the help of the children and families it serves, this state-of-the-art, 27 bed "hospital within a hospital" is a family-centered facility offering a wide range of pediatric specialty services, including intensive care. Patient rooms all have built-in living space for a parent to stay in the room with their child. Other amenities include family living room, children's play room, teen recreation room and a family kitchen.
•Medical Center is an ACS-verified level-II trauma center and provides tertiary care for a regional population of 500,000.

LIVLEY METRO CITY- HOME OF THE UNIVERSITY OF MAINE-is a highly rated lively riverside metro and is home to the University of Maine. The city hosts a joint venture UMaine/Bangor Art museum and the Children’s Discovery Museum. The Bangor Symphony Orchestra is the oldest professional community symphony in the United States. The Penobscot Theatre Company is a professional well supported arts venue. The Collins Center for the Arts on the campus of the University of Maine offers a 1200 seat theater with entertainment, from Opera and Broadway Musicals to Jazz. Medical Center is a regional tertiary care and ACS-verified level II trauma center serving a patient population of 500,000, living in the northern 2/3 of the state. Robotic surgical technology is available. Hospital also serves as the regions pediatric specialty center offering level III NICU, PICU, pediatric sedation, surgery, orthopedics, cardiology and pediatric sub-specialty services. In early 2013, Hospital will break ground on a new patient care building to include new ORs and a newly renovated obstetrical unit.
