Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens

Our client in Oklahoma has a long term locum opportunity for a general radiologist who can also perform Mammography light IR based procedures to work for 1 week in September and Full Time starting in October. They will accept multiple providers. The average number of studies a day is 80-100 with a breakdown of 60 Plain films, 25 CT, 5 MR, 1-2 procedures in the morning, 4-5 diagnostic mammograms/US throughout the day. IR based procedures are US guided biopsies, Breast needle localization, Paracentesis, Thoracentesis, fine needle aspirations, and abscess drainages. No stereotactic biopsies are required.

The schedule is 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday with a lunch from 12-1. No call and no weekends.

PACS is Carestream, Self editing voice recognition.

Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
