Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
Radiology group in Western New York is looking for a board certified diagnostic radiologist to provide coverage for the weeks of 9/12 and 10/17. The job will be Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm and the radiologist will also need to provide back up call only to teleradiology on Tuesdays and Thursdays for additional compensation, no weekends. MQSA is not required. The PACS system is GE and the group uses dictation/transcription. The daily volume between 3 radiologists is 30 cat scans, 200 plain film, 30 nuclear medicine, 10 PET, and 2 MR. Each radiologist reads a minimum of 100 studies per day, maybe up to 120. The following skill sets are required CT IMAGING: EMERGENCY HEAD, NECK, SPINE, CHEST, ABDOMEN, PELVIS, EXTREMITY; US: EMERGENCY ADULT AND PEDIATRIC ABDOMEN, PELVIS, OBSTETRICAL, EMERGENCY ARTERIAL AND VENOUS; GENERAL NUCLEAR MED; FLUOROSCOPIC STUDIES:
Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
