Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
A community hospital in northwest Pennsylvania is in need of board certified diagnostic radiologist coverage for the following weeks: 6/27 - 7/1, 7/11 - 7/15, 7/25 -7/29, and 9/12 - 9/16. The skill set required is general diagnostic radiologist with MQSA certification and light interventional skills. An average day is reading around 100 studies per day consisting of 42 plain film, 17 ultrasound, 3 nuclear medicine studies, 7 MR, 15 cat scans, and 15 mammograms, and 2 DEXA scans. The radiologist will also perform 1-2 procedures per day consisting of shoulder and hip arthograms, hip injections, drainages, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and fluoro. The PACS is Merge and the voice recognition is Spantel which runs off an M-Modal Engine. The radiologist will need to also take back up call to teleradiology and for Ultrasound echos.

Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
