Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
A radiology group in east Texas is looking for general diagnostic radiologist coverage starting either 6/6 or 6/13 with a fellowship strongly preferred. The coverage will be Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm each week ongoing. It is not a requirement, but it would be helpful if the radiologist is open to working an occasional evening swing shift from 5pm to 9pm at the facility or taking call on the weekend as a backup to teleradiology. This is a solo site 3 days a weeks and the other 2 days a week another radiologist comes out to read mammography. The average day at the site is 20-30 plain films, 5-10 MR, 10 ultrasounds, 15 cat scans, 4 nuclear medicine studies, and 2 flouro cases for a total of 65-70 studies per day. The radiologist also needs to be very proficient and comfortable performing light interventional work including paracentesis, thoracentesis, arthograms, and nephrostomies.
