Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
A client in Northwest Arizona is in need of locums coverage the week of 12/26. The job is Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm with a half hour for lunch. The group is looking for a board certified diagnostic radiologist who is MQSA certified. This is a team environment with the average day reading 100 diagnostic studies. The radiologist may perform 1 or 2 light interventional procedures per day including paracentesis, thoracentesis, and image guided biopsies. The breakdown is 25 cat scans, 12 ultrasounds, 5 MR, 10 mammograms, 2 nuclear medicine Studies, and the remainder plain film. The PACS is Carestream and the voice recognition is Fluency.
Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
