Pediatric Hospitalist Opportunity

We are seeking a board certified/board eligible pediatric hospitalist physician dedicated to providing world-class care to join our practice in Evansville, Indiana.

St. Mary's Medical Center is a community hospital with a 23 bed pediatric floor, 7 bed PICU, and level 3 NICU. (PICU and NICU and covered by full time intensivists) We are also a level 2 pediatric trauma center and referral center for SW IN, KY and IL.

The position responsibilities include coverage of patients on the pediatric floor and newborn nursery. The hospitalist team covers about three quarters of all patients admitted to the pediatric floor and co-manages surgery patients if requested. We have most but not all pediatric subspecialties available and have a close relationship with St. Vincent Health in Indianapolis for phone consults, transfers, etc.
