Pediatrician - (Pediatrics - Peds - Pedi) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 10/01/2013Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

The Army is looking for a qualified and committed Pediatrician to help see the children of our troops at Womack Army Medical Center at Ft. Bragg NC. The physician will need to have an unrestricted license from any of the fifty states. The government will be covering the malpractice insurance, and this is a wonderful perk. The Pediatrician will have to board certified and have completed a pediatric residency. The physician must have a current BLS and PALS that is issued thru the American Heart Association, as well as a fee paid/non-exempt DEA. The provider will be working in an out-patient setting seeing all ages to include as young as infants all the way up 18 years of age. The schedule will be 8 hours a day and 5 days a week, and there is no call or overtime that will be required. The provider will be seeing anywhere between 16-20 patients per day.

A pediatrician(locum tenens) manages the well being and health of children from infancy through 21 years. They work to care for and manage acute and chronic illness, provide general care, focus on reducing infant and child mortality, and help with the early care and detection of child and adolescent disorders. A pediatrician diagnoses and treats illness, injury, malignancies, genetic defects, and organic dysfunctions and disease.
