• The Congenital Heart Center (CHC) at the Children's Hospital of Illinois is seeking a BC/BE noninvasive pediatric cardiologist to join 2 well established pediatric cardiologists in the Rockford branch of the CHC system. The practice has been a stable source of quality pediatric cardiology care in the community for more than 20 years. The candidate should be skilled in all facets of echocardiography. Skills in fetal cardiology are desirable.
• As the primary referral center in the northern Illinois area, our group provides a variety of inpatient services to the 3 major hospitals in the city, including a 46 bed level III NICU, a PICU, and two very busy pediatric hospitalist services in two of the hospitals. There is also extensive pediatric subspecialty support including endocrinology, gastroenterology, genetics, neurology, pulmonology, and pediatric surgery. In addition, the program also staffs a busy outpatient outreach program to 7 major hospitals in the northern Illinois area. The qualified individual will be part of the Congenital Heart Center which includes an additional 8 cardiologists at the Peoria campus. There is a direct clinical and academic relationship between the two groups. Professional efforts will be bolstered by the support of 2 pediatric cardiovascular surgeons and a fully staffed cardiac intensive care unit with cardiac intensivists at the Children’s Hospital of Illinois, located in Peoria.
