Pathologist - (Pathology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 02/02/2015Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Pathology coverage needed for a couple of months for our client in a hospital just upstate from NYC. Client is looking for Monday-Friday 8 hour days, Board Certified or Board Eligible. Client would like candidates that have experience in Blood Banking. Please contact Staff Care for more information on this great opportunity.
A pathologist (locum tenens) studies the cause and effect of disease on plant and animal life. The field is broad, with a lot of room for specialization. Most pathologists practice in the academic or research sectors, working in medical laboratories or universities. Private companies and branches of the government employ pathologists as well. Medical pathologists typically do not treat patients of their own, but do provide integral information for other physicians in the form of lab work and diagnostic testing.
