General Practitioner - Physician - (General Practice - GP) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 03/03/2014Available Shifts: Part Time
A primary care physician is needed to provide services at this facility on a locum tenens basis until a permanent hire can be identified. The provider will begin work immediately upon the completion of credentialing. The schedule will comprise of three days per week between the hours of 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
A general practice physician(locum tenens), like a family care doctor, provides primary and ongoing care for their patients, usually serving as the first point of contact when a medical issue arises. These physicians are trained to deal with both the physical and emotional aspects of medicine, often forging lasting bonds with patients and families over generations. Often times, GPs run specialized practices within their offices, providing their patients with specialized treatments in certain medical areas, such as obstetrics, instead of having to refer the patient to another physician.
Required Qualifications
Current primary care experience is required, and an active Basic Life Support is required prior to the start date.
