We are seeking a BE/BC Orthopedic Surgeon to practice in this bedroom community of Indianapolis. This position is at least 50% general, with any fellowship a plus. Call will be shared with the other orthopedic surgeon in the community. The other surgeon has been in the community for over 25 years. You can share space with the other surgeon if you like. The community is only 20 minutes from Indiana University. Their economic base includes agriculture, small business, small industry, govrenment employees (city, county, state), school system, and those that commute out of the county to major employers. This is a community of 12,000 with a service area of 75,000. It has been listed as one of the safest cities in the U.S., by the FBI. They have award winning schools. There are many things to enjoy here including beautiful nearby forest areas, golfing, camping, boating, hiking, fishing, biking, and skiing. You can also enjoy the metro ammenities that Indianapolis has to offer including cultural events, orchestra, concerts, dance, museums, fabulous shopping, dining, the zoo, and professional sports. The hospital here is a 106 bed facility. They have the latest technology and state-of-the-art equipment. This hospital has 4 OR suites, 8 bed ICU, and an emergency department averaging over 20,000 visits annually. They are offering a wonderful compensation package. It is an employed position including pension contribution, malpractice insurance, competitive base, and incentive.
