OSF Saint Elizabeth Medical Center is seeking two (2) board-eligible or board-certified Orthopedic Surgeons to establish a practice in Ottawa, Illinois through the hospital and its physician group (Ottawa Regional Medical Center). Both facilities are a part of OSF HealthCare, the fourth largest health care system in the state.

• Expect to build a practice quickly from a large referral base of OSF HealthCare employed primary-care providers. Offer includes a very competitive compensation and benefits package.

• Clinic hours will be held Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Surgical procedures will be performed at OSF Saint Elizabeth Medical Center.

• Ottawa Regional Medical Center is conveniently located on the campus of OSF Saint Elizabeth Medical Center (one minute by car). The modernized facility contains 99 beds and state-of-the-art technology. Specialties available for in-hospital consultation include cardiology, general surgery, urology, radiation oncology, podiatry, ENT, gastroenterology, medical oncology, ophthalmology, psychiatry, substance abuse and psychiatric units. Tertiary referrals are made to Peoria, Rockford, and Chicago. Epic EMR was installed in June 2013 in all locations.

• Ottawa, with easy access to I-80 and I-39, offers ready access to major cultural centers in Chicago, Rockford, and Peoria (each approximately 80 to 90 minutes by car) making it convenient for a great weekend getaway or a day trip to experience the big city life.

• Ottawa, a town of 18,000 is located in north central Illinois. It’s also known as the “Town of Two Rivers” where the scenic Fox River flows into the Illinois River and sets the pace for the relaxed and secure quality of life. The community has a family-oriented environment and boasts excellent public and parochial schools. The economic base is diversified in both light industry and agriculture. Recreational opportunities abound with four beautiful State parks located within ten minutes of Ottawa (Starved Rock, Mathieson Park, Buffalo Rock and Illini State Park) and the Illinois & Michigan Canal Trail. There are ample opportunities for those with a spirit of adventure to explore the wonders of the great outdoors - boating, camping, hiking, biking, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling.
