The recruited Orthopedist will join this practice to serve the Community of Williamston, Martin County residents and contiguous counties. Practice considerations;
• Traditional orthopedic surgery practice serving outpatients and managing inpatients
• Employed position
• Full Time practice
• 1/3 call with Physician Assistant. The two orthopedists take second call for Physician Assistant.
• ED visits in 2010; 12514 with minimal trauma patients
• Hospital desires to be in the top 10% of hospitals in US for HCAHPS, core measures and customer satisfaction by end of 2011.
High points of living in Williamston:
• Small town atmosphere
• Good public schools
• 1.5 hours West of Nags Head/Outerbanks
• 1.5 hours East of Raleigh, NC
• 35 miles NE of Greenville, NC
• Eastern Carolina University has a very reputable medical school and the resources associated with higher learning
• Known for the SunnySide Oyster Bar
• Home of Senator Bob Martin Agricultural Center; largest Equestrian Center in NC
