Group in Virginia is interested in hiring a Spine Surgeon for 2014. They are a 17 physician group of which 12 are Orthopedic Surgeons. They have all sub-specialties except pediatric, trauma, and tumor. They have one spine surgeon now, and he is extremely busy. They want to recruit a second to help with the load. The current spine surgeon is doing 100% spine except if he takes a patient while on call. The non-surgical physicians are 2 pcp-sports physicians, 2 interventional physiatrists, and a rheumatologist.They have all the ancillary services in house, and they own their building, and a surgi center. Call is 1-11 They service a level 2 trauma center which gets 100,000 admits a year. When on call physicians have a PA with them. They have 8 mid levels on board. There would be a base salary and bonus plan with benefits while you establish your practice. Two year partnership track.
Located in central Virginia about three hours from the coast, and two hours from Wash DC. It is at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Great family area, no traffic hassles, great quality of life. Draw area has 250,000.
