Hematology Oncologist - (Hematology Oncology - Hem-Onc) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 12 Hour/Day

Hospital in beautiful, heritage-rich community of northern Virginia seeks a board-certified Hematologist/Oncologist. The shift is 8a-8p with morning rounding and call for PRN consults. Physician will see about 5 patients per day and have approximately 10 consults. Temporary privileging is available for this opportunity. Call Staff Care for further details.

A hematology oncologist (locum tenens) is a physician that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of blood diseases and different types of cancer. Physicians in this specialization have combined oncology and hematology fellowships in order to diagnose and treat cancers and benign conditions of the blood. These physicians frequently deal with end-of-life conditions, helping with quality of life and often forming strong, impactful relationships with their patients.
