An excellent employed opportunity for a BC/BE Hematologist/Oncologist to join an expanding group of eight providing consultative services to inpatients & outpatients with blood disorders and cancer at the Hematology/Oncology Unit of Hospital in Upstate, NY. Candidate should have interest in providing quality patient care as part of a collegial group with strong academic & teaching interests. Through a collaborative tie with Cancer Institute, the group participates in CALGB and other cancer clinical trials & all MD's hold clinical faculty appointments at institute. In addition to a large volume of patients at the Cancer Center, the unit oversees care provided at the Hemophilia Center, a comprehensive treatment center for patients with hemophilia and other blood clotting disorders & is the only facility of its kind in the region serving a 13-county area. Our cancer program was recently awarded an outstanding achievement award by the American College of Surgeons; only 30 of 500 institutions nationwide attained this status. This Hospital is a thriving medical system with a 528 bed hospital & extensive outpatient offices.
