Work Schedule: Dayshift; Monday - Friday. The VA Medical Center, Huntington, WV is seekinga full-time BC/BE Hematologist/Oncologist: Responsibilities include coverage of outpatient clinics, inpatient rounds, supervision of inpatient as well as outpatient chemotherapy and infusion procedures; conduct bone marrow aspirates and biopsies and answer inpatient/outpatient consultations. Diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with hematology and oncology diseases according to standard, usual and acceptable or customary methods and techniques in the outpatient and inpatient settings. Specific services include, but are not limited to, bone marrow biopsy and aspiration and providing medical oversight for the Chemotherapy Infusion Room. The physician will report to the Chief of Medical Service or his/her designee.
