Radiation Oncologist - Physician - (Oncology - Rad Onc) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Florida cancer center needs Radiation Oncologist to cover December 23-27th. Neither call or hospital privileges will be required. Provider should be familiar with IMRT and IGRT. The schedule is Monday-Friday 8:30a-5pm (off on Christmas day). The physician will see an average of 20 patients per day and only see new consults in the case of an emergency. A radiation oncologist(locum tenens) is a physician who utilizes radiation therapy procedures to manage and treat tumors and cancers. These physicians are trained to understand how gamma and x-rays can be used to target and affect a variety of cancers, utilizing radiation therapy combined with chemotherapy and stereostatic radiosurgery to treat their patients. Offering comfort and stability is also paramount in radiation oncology, as these health care professionals often form lasting and emotional relationships with their patients.
