A medical facility in the North Country of New York is needing full time Oncology coverage for 4 months. Position will start the September 6 and end January 6th. Provider must be Board Certified in Oncology, and Hematology Board Certification as well is preferred. Please inquire for more information.
An oncologist(locum tenens) is a physician who has specialized in the study and treatment of cancer. Medical oncologists perform many diagnostic tests when assessing new patients, such as biopsies and blood work. After determining the stage of the cancer and a prognosis, they begin treating their patients, making use of a range of medical procedures including chemotherapy and other medications.
