Oncologist - Physician - (Oncology - ONC) Locum Tenens
Locums Oncology coverage needed in southwestern WI for 3 months minimum beginning September 2016 while the system is perm recruiting. Majority of patients will be Medical Oncology with a handful of Hematology cases. Please contact a Staff Care consultant for more details.

An oncologist(locum tenens) is a physician who has specialized in the study and treatment of cancer. Medical oncologists perform many diagnostic tests when assessing new patients, such as biopsies and blood work. After determining the stage of the cancer and a prognosis, they begin treating their patients, making use of a range of medical procedures including chemotherapy and other medications. Monitoring the patient is an important aspect of medical oncology, and oncologists frequently perform diagnostic tests throughout treatment to examine the efficacy of the medication or medical procedures.
