Radiation Oncologist - Physician - (Oncology - Rad Onc) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 02/22/2016Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

Facility located in southeastern Minnesota is seeking Radiation Oncologist coverage ASAP through September 2016. Weekly schedule is M-F, 7:30 - 4:30; Weekend Call, 24 hour shifts, 7 days/week. Average of 12/15 patients per day; 10-15 consults per week. 60-90 day credentialing; EPIC software; Board Certified ABMS/AOA, Residency trained, BLS and Hospital privileges required. A radiation oncologist(locum tenens) is a physician who utilizes radiation therapy procedures to manage and treat tumors and cancers. These physicians are trained to understand how gamma and x-rays can be used to target and affect a variety of cancers, utilizing radiation therapy combined with chemotherapy and stereostatic radiosurgery to treat their patients. Offering comfort and stability is also paramount in radiation oncology, as these health care professionals often form lasting and emotional relationships with their patients.
