Radiation Oncologist - Physician - (Oncology - Rad Onc) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

Client needs various dates covered through the end of 2015 Busy radiation oncology practice. Will work typical Mon-Fri 8-5 schedule and will not be required to take call. IMRT and HDR experience required. This is a solo position working with several medical oncologists.

A radiation oncologist(locum tenens) is a physician who utilizes radiation therapy procedures to manage and treat tumors and cancers. These physicians are trained to understand how gamma and x-rays can be used to target and affect a variety of cancers, utilizing radiation therapy combined with chemotherapy and stereostatic radiosurgery to treat their patients. Offering comfort and stability is also paramount in radiation oncology, as these health care professionals often form lasting and emotional relationships with their patients.

Lafayette is just s short drive north from Indianapolis and just across the river from West Lafayette, home of Purdue University. Although Purdue is located across the river, it in many ways bolsters the economy and entertainment options of its sister city. The Lafayette Symphony and Greater Lafayette Art Museum offer much in the way of local performing arts culture, while the Long Center brings in regional and national musicians, comedians and performers.
