Our client is looking for Oncology coverage as soon as possible on an ongoing basis. The schedule for this assignment is Monday to Friday each week from 8 AM to 5 PM with light out of house call. An oncologist(locum tenens) is a physician who has specialized in the study and treatment of cancer. Medical oncologists perform many diagnostic tests when assessing new patients, such as biopsies and blood work. After determining the stage of the cancer and a prognosis, they begin treating their patients, making use of a range of medical procedures including chemotherapy and other medications. Monitoring the patient is an important aspect of medical oncology, and oncologists frequently perform diagnostic tests throughout treatment to examine the efficacy of the medication or medical procedures.
