With 127,000 square feet, it features 75 all-private acute-care rooms, 5 OR’s, and an adjacent Medical Office Building. This hospital is an integral part of Northeastern Nevada and the only acute care hospital within a 200-mile radius. State of the art equipment and a high technology emergency room. Heliopads, kidney dialysis center, diagnostic imaging center. The hospital also serves as a teaching institution for the Nursing program and the Residency / Medical Student Program at the local universities.
Situated on the Humboldt River halfway between Reno and Salt Lake City. Interstate 80 traverses the County, making it a convenient destination if traveling by car. The city has an elevation of 5.060 feel. It's dry environment provides a moderate climate, making it an ideal year-round vacation spot. The high desert experience four mild annual seasons.
