Interventional Neuroradiologist Sought! We are seeking a Board Certified/Eligible Neurologist with fellowship training in Endovascular Surgical Neuroradiology. The applicant should be comfortable and proficient with all aspects of endovascular techniques for the management of all neurovascular diseases including aneurysms, AVMs, AVFs, ischemic stroke, as well as intra-cranial and extracranial stenosis. The Endovascular Interventional Neurology program was launched in 2011 with a current volume of about 30-40 aneurysms and 20-30 stroke cases a year. Previously, all cases were transferred out of the institution. One core hospital is in the Primary Stroke certification process and several other local institutions have certified Stroke Programs. Expected expansion will require consistent and broader interventional coverage. This northeast suburban setting, outside of the Detroit metropolitan area, services approximately 2.5 million people.
Facilities include a Siemen’s Artis Bi-plane NeuroEndovascular Suite and multiple Single-plane units with plans for neuroendovascular expansion. There are currently 25 ICU beds. There is a team of dedicated intensivists, stroke neurologists, neuroradiologists, and neurosurgery cross coverage and strong institutional support. The applicant would be expected to help expand the endovascular stroke network at surrounding hospitals as well as be an active member of the endovascular service at the core facility. An Endovascular Fellowship with one occupied position also sharing call further enhances this already strong program. We an excellent financial package including productivity-based compensation, outstanding benefits, and a path to partnership.
