Neurologist - Physician - (Neurology - Neuro) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 12 Hour/Day

Neurologist needed in Eastern PA starting July 1, 2013 ongoing. Schedule is 7on 7off. Shifts are 12 hours from 7A-7P. There is no call. Average number of patients seen per day is 25. Must be board certified/eligible. This area is known for its scenic panorama and history as many of these towns have been around for centuries. Must see the Allentown Art Museum, Liberty Bell Shrine, and Baum School of Art. Enjoy performances by Allentown symphony, at MunOpCo Music Theater, & in Center Square (originally founded by William Allen). Live bands year-round! Famous for it's Victorian Homes in Downtown, the Buchman House is one of many to check out. Other Amenities include Allentown's Municipal Golf Course, tax-free shopping, Biking, Dorney Park and Wild Water Kingdom, Dutch Wonderland, & the awesome Lehigh Valley Zoo! See www.allentownpa.org

A neurologist(locum tenens) is trained to diagnose and treat disorders of the nervous system, as well as medical conditions such as Alzheimer's, stroke, and neck and spine injuries. Diagnostic tests on the brain, neck nerves, and reflexes offer these physicians insight into the nature of the illness of injuries that their patient is experiencing. Research neurologists participate in clinical studies and conduct research in an attempt to improve treatments for diseases and injuries of the nervous system.

Required Qualifications
In hospital consults and F/ups only. If there is down time, the LT may read some EEG's and/or EMG's. Downtime should be minimal. They would like for the locums to be able to do nerve conduction studies, but that is not required.
