•This very busy Illinois Neurological Institute combines neurology, neurosurgery,
neuroradiology, neuropathology, and PM&R.
•The department of neurology provides medical center support services at OSF Saint Francis with state-of-the- art equipment including a fully digitalized video EEG lab, video monitored beds with portable video units, intraoperative monitoring, and an accredited 6-bed sleep center in Peoria and a new 4-bed sleep center in Morton.
•OSF Saint Francis Medical Center is fortunate to have highly specialized interventional neuroradiologists on staff who work closely with our stroke team for acute intervention. Advanced neuroimaging includes MRI, FMRI, PET scan and Spect Scan.
•Teaching with academic appointment and research are integral parts of this opportunity.
•Research is not a formal requirement, yet is encouraged. Summer research internships are available to provide physicians with an opportunity to carry out clinical research while mentoring undergraduates.
