Job Description & Requirements
Neurologist - Physician - (Neurology - Neuro) Locum Tenens
A medical facility an hour and a half outside of New York City is needing inpatient Neurology coverage as soon as possible, pending credentialing. Position will be 8 hours of patient contact during the day and on call at night, with 24 hour weekend call and has the potential to be a long term, ongoing assignment. Full time availability is preferred but will look at all availability. Provider will have 12 beds to attend to. Please inquire for more information.
A neurologist(locum tenens) is trained to diagnose and treat disorders of the nervous system, as well as medical conditions such as Alzheimer's, stroke, and neck and spine injuries. Diagnostic tests on the brain, neck nerves, and reflexes offer these physicians insight into the nature of the illness of injuries that their patient is experiencing. Research neurologists participate in clinical studies and conduct research in an attempt to improve treatments for diseases and injuries of the nervous system.
