An opening is available for a BE/BC Neurophysiologist to join a growing neurology department with this Philadelphia area health system. As one of three neurophysiologists in the group, you will see a variety of patients with neuromuscular disorders, performing 2-3 sessions per week performing EMG and nerve conduction studies and other related tests. EEG, EP, EMG-guided botox injections, Tilt table testing are available. The new physician will have the opportunity to expand on an existing practice and make it their own, while still being part of a larger neurology group. There is a neurophysiology technology school on the hospital campus which trains their own technicians. All neurologists in the group are encouraged to develop their clinical interests, however every physician practices some general neurology from as little as 20-30% to as much as 50%, depending on preferences. When fully staffed, there will be 11 neurologists, which will improve the already reasonable call schedule even more. Work at one tertiary medical center, also a teaching hospital. The department provides treatment in a variety of neurological areas including epilepsy, headache, movement disorders, neuromuscular disorders, and sleep.
