Nephrologist - Physician - (Nephrology - Neph) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Our client is looking for one week of coverage, as well as a separate weekend of Nephrology coverage starting in October and ongoing. The Nephrologist will be responsible for treating patients with kidney disorders, high blood pressure, anemia, and in some rare cases, dialysis and electrolysis cases. A nephrologist (locum tenens) provides patient care to individuals suffering from kidney diseases, as well as patients with diabetes and hypertension. These physicians typically operate in clinics or hospitals, performing kidney transplants and treating acute or chronic renal diseases such as nephropathy. In addition to these medical procedures, nephrologists are trained to operate dialysis machines and manage their effects on patients.

State College is a college town through and through, a city in which Penn State pride means everything. Known colloquially as "Happy Valley," it is full of dining and recreation possibilities, with restaurants, bars and shops lining the sides of downtown streets. The city is home to a strong arts community, with the Nittany Valley Symphony and Pennsylvania Centre Orchestra being local favorites. Annual events include the Central Pennsylvania Festival for the Arts and the very popular Penn State Homecoming Weekend.
