Neonatologist - Physician - (Neonatology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: Varied Shift
Facility in Urbana, IL is seeking a board-certified Neonatologist for immediate and ongoing coverage. Variety of shift lengths available. Knowledge of high frequency jet ventilation and whole body cooling is required. Board Certification is required and travel and lodging expenses will be paid. Specializing in the care of newborn infants, a neonatologist(locum tenens) is often tasked with providing diagnoses and treatments to infants with birth defects and life-threatening illnesses. In order to become licensed as a neonatologist, a physician must first complete a residency in general pediatrics, followed by a fellowship in neonatology. These physicians provide a wide range of treatments for their patients, and often work with them for long periods of time, as in the case of premature birth.
