A hospital in Alabama is looking for a neonatology physician who is available for weekend locum tenens coverage on an ongoing basis. This position requires the locum to be comfortable with the full spectrum of NICU procedures (no surgery). On a typical day the locum will round on well babies and then round in the ICU (23 - 30 census) and co-sign on NP notes. The locum can leave the hospital when rounding is completed, but they will remain on call for the entirety of the weekend. On a typical weekend the locum can be expect to be call into the hospital 2- 5 times. Call coverage will last from 8am Friday and continue until 8am on Monday. Candidates for this position must have an active Alabama license and be either board certified or eligible within the last five years. This is a level three NICU.
