Neonatologist - Physician - (Neonatology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 01/18/2016Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Level 3 NICU in warm southern Utah is seeking neonatologist for 10-12 8 hour shifts a month while being on call for the full 24.
Specializing in the care of newborn infants, a neonatologist(locum tenens) is often tasked with providing diagnoses and treatments to infants with birth defects and life-threatening illnesses. In order to become licensed as a neonatologist, a physician must first complete a residency in general pediatrics, followed by a fellowship in neonatology. These physicians provide a wide range of treatments for their patients, and often work with them for long periods of time, as in the case of premature birth.
Required Qualifications
Must be able to perform the following procedures: intubate; place: UVC, UAC, PAL, PICC; LP; needle thoracentesis; chest tube placement; paracentesis (rare). Must be BC.
