The Children’s Medical Center at Rockford Health System is currently seeking a board eligible or board certified neonatologist to join our large Level III NICU. You will have the opportunity to work with a talented team including six other physicians and several Nurse Practitioners who understand patient quality and the importance of excellent customer care. Our NICU unit encompasses 46 beds. This position will provide you excellent work/life balance. Shifts are typically block shifts with some weekend coverage shared equally amongst the physicians. Physicians must live within a 30 minute drive of the hospital for call.
Rockford Health System is a Level I Trauma Center with a Regional Children's Medical Center including a 7-bed PICU and serving a 16-county region. For those interested in teaching, the hospital is closely aligned with the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Rockford, and this position includes a clinical faculty appointment for the education of Family Practice residents and medical students.
