Children’s Hospital of Richmond at Virginia Commonwealth University is pleased to announce a partnership with HCA Chippenham and Johnston-Willis hospitals in a commitment to providing quality care and service excellence in neonatal-perinatal medicine.
We are seeking clinical neonatologists to join in this effort to enhance this partnership. Our team of neonatologists, hospitalist and NNPs provide services at two level-III NICUs in the Richmond area: Chippenham Medical Center (15 intensive beds, six step-down beds and approximately 2,400 deliveries per year) and Johnston-Willis Medical Center (12 intensive beds, eight step-down beds and approximately 2,400 deliveries per year). Services provided, which vary by facility, include high-frequency ventilation, nitric oxide and total body cooling. Additionally, there is opportunity to work at CHoR NICU a 40 bed level IV facility that provides ECMO and all surgical as well as medical sub-specialties services for the critically ill infant. Support will be provided career advancement and an expectation for quality and clinical care scholarly activity. This is a clinical academic appointment for candidates who are eager to advance their academic career in a collegial atmosphere and in Virginia’s capital river city boasting a mix of a major urban setting, in a friendly and communal atmosphere. Candidates must be Neonatal-Perinatal board eligible/certified. Opportunities exist for part-time employment.
