Internist - Physician - (Internal Medicine) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Locum Tenens Family Practitioner or Internal Medicine provider needed in two eastern Maryland clinics. Coverage is needed right away and is expected to continue for at least three months. The schedule will be Monday through Friday from 8:00-5:00. Preferred candidate would be comfortable seeing 20 patients per day. Internal medicine (locum tenens) is a branch of medicine characterized by an emphasis on treating the whole body, rather than specialized focus on one body part of system. Many people use internists as their first point of medical contact, and in this way these physicians function similarly to primary care doctors. Internists are trained to treat and diagnose a wide range of illnesses that affect the entirety of the biological system. When an illness proves to be advancing, exotic or complex, internists will usually refer their patients to specialists.
