MedCare Staffing is seeking 5 Internal Medicine/ Family Practice Physicians for a locums position near Rochester, New York. Coverage will begin October 1st, 2014 and end March 31st, 2015. There will be a possibility of a 6-month extension.
Monday through Friday: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Providers will be on a rotation to work extended hours.
Scope of Practice:
• Timely evaluation and treatment of patients
• Complete all documentation and close all patient encounters in a timely manner, by the end of shift, utilizing the Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS)
• Order and monitor the results of diagnostic testing, notifying or directing the notification of patients regarding test results within 14 days of receipt
• Order and adjust appropriate medication
• Provide and document patient education as clinically needed
• Monitor clinical response to treatment and adjust levels of care as necessary
• Monitor and differentiate patient type of medication effects/side effects
Requirements: Provider must be Board Certified or Eligible with a full, unrestricted medical license. BLS certification and a DEA are also needed.
