Internist - Physician - (Internal Medicine) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
The Indian Health Service in southern Oklahoma is in need of an Internal Medicine Physician for their outpatient clinic. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, no weekends and no call. Any active US state medical license will qualify for this Government opportunity. Come discover all this southwestern Oklahoma location has to offer!
Internal medicine (locum tenens) is a branch of medicine characterized by an emphasis on treating the whole body, rather than specialized focus on one body part of system. Many people use internists as their first point of medical contact, and in this way these physicians function similarly to primary care doctors. Internists are trained to treat and diagnose a wide range of illnesses that affect the entirety of the biological system. When an illness proves to be advancing, exotic or complex, internists will usually refer their patients to specialists.
Required Qualifications
Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.
BLS, ACLS, DEA required prior to start
Previous EMR experience required
Preferred Qualifications
Prefer previous Indian Health experience
