Experienced physician needed for Medical Director position in Boston. Duties will include both administrative and clinical responsibilities. (full list of job responsibilities listed below). Supervise staff of 4 physicians. 2 mid levels. 3 ancillary staff. Patient panel of 2000. 18 exam rooms. Mon-Fri (35 hour work week). Full benefits and competitive salary. Diverse community. Duties will include:
Partner closely with the CEO to assure that decisions made are in support of and aligned with RoxComp's missions and vision.
Establish and assure maintenance of professional standards in all medical departments including oversight of center wide clinical protocols.
Evaluate and monitor quality of patient care services including presiding over the Center's Quality Assurance Committee and Providers Meeting.
Oversee, evaluate and monitor the overall performance and productivity of providers and assure compliance with established standards of care and federal guidelines.
Oversee and approve all health professional training programs.
Partnering with the CEO define, design and implement new initiatives to improve the fiscal position of the health center.
Oversee in conjunction with Human Resource Department all provider clinical educational and licensure requirements.
Ensure all medical providers have required credentialing.
Serve as an active member of the Senior Management Team.
In collaboration with CEO, Senior Management Team and Department Directors, plan, develop and implement programs to assure responsiveness to patient and community health needs.
Oversee activities related to recruitment and retention of physicians.
Provide leadership as needed in the management and resolution of patient complaints.
Represent the Center on medical/clinical issues with external agencies and organization.
Provide direct patient care in appropriate clinical unit as directed.
Assist with grant development and program oversight.
In collaboration with providers and the senior management team craft the health plan for the HHS 330 grant application.
Oversee implementation and monitor progress of HHS 330 health plan taking corrective action if required to achieve goals outlined in the plan.
Represent health center at external meetings as required.
Other related professional duties as assigned by CEO.
