Arbour Health System is the largest private mental health system in Massachusetts. Our system includes Arbour Hospital, Boston; Arbour-Fuller Hospital, South Attleboro; Arbour-HRI Hospital, Brookline; Lowell Treatment Center; Pembroke Hospital; The Quincy Center; and Westwood Lodge.
Arbour Health System is recruiting physicians at all AHS inpatient locations to cover as “doctor-on-call” (DOCs). DOCs are being recruited for weekdays from approximately 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 a.m. In addition, DOCs are needed on weekends from 7 a.m. Saturday until 7 a.m. Sunday and 7 a.m. on Sunday until 7 a.m. on Monday.
The DOC is an important part of the treatment team and provides essential functions as noted below. The DOC will be supervised by the Hospital Medical Director and work collaboratively with administrative and clinical staff.
Essential Functions:
•Admission work-up, orders, and documentation
•Restraint and seclusion authorization
•Examining, assessing and treating patients who require psychiatric or medical care and documents accordingly
•May assist in weekend rounds (psychiatrists only)
The compensation is highly competitive and includes a generous base with higher payment for weekends. There can be additional compensation related to admission work-ups, physicals, and weekend rounds.
