Philadelphia is calling! Faculty Opportunity for an Internal Medicine Physician!
As the incoming physician, you'll work as physician educator to fill the role of Core Faculty in a training program of 24 IM residents and 14 transitional residents. The position will involve teaching residents and medical students as well as participation in lectures, morning report, board review, and scholarly activities.
You will also develop a small private practice in the integrated resident-faculty practice, precept the residents in their weekly office practice as well as serve as the inpatient service attending approximately 1 in 8 weeks rounds out the clinical portion. Additionally you will function as the practice director for the clinic. The clinic is also part of a statewide collaborative of selected practices that work with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and insurance companies to improve the care and reduce the cost for patients with chronic diseases. Their state-of-the-art practice facility has used the EMR Centricity since 2007 and serves a large population of diverse patients with a varied socioeconomic background.
The ideal candidate will be ABIM certified and have at least 2 years of experience in clinical education and leadership skills.
