Since 1897, Washington Hospital has been dedicated to providing the highest quality care to patients in southwestern Pennsylvania. The Washington Hospital is a voluntary, not-for-profit community hospital. Features include a 239-bed hospital with a 17-bed Transitional Care Unit, a 16-bassinet Nursery and an 8-bed residential hospice. Washington utilizes the most advanced medical technology in its state-of-the-art facilities. Washington is part of the Pittsburgh metro area and 30 minutes from the heart of Pittsburgh.
Hospitalist Program Overview:
-72 hours of Physician coverage daily (Four shifts from 7am-7pm, one shift from 10am-10pm and one overnight shift from 7pm-7am)
-12 hours of APP coverage daily
-7 on/7 off schedule
-Each full time hospitalist will ideally provide 180 hours of clinical services per month
-The Hospitalist Practice will average 80-85 patient encounters per day for an average of 12-15 encounters per shift
-The Washington Hospitalist Program offers a Closed ICU, No procedures and manageable patient load
