Be an integral part of one of the nation’s most prestigious healthcare systems in Atlanta, Georgia!
The position has just opened up to a qualified Internist with a solid background. Must be a Board Certified or Board Eligible. Internist with a special interest and experience in Sickle Cell disease. It is “broad in scope” and provides care mainly for adults. You will be involved with disease management such as Hgb SS, SC+ thal, who have a wide range of problems associated with Sickle Cell disease including, but not limited to, bones, joints, kidneys, leg ulcers, pain management and neurological systems. In addition to providing care for Sickle Cell disease, you will cover a broad range scope of medicine to include body wellness, disease prevention in terms of screening and management of chronic conditions and illnesses.
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to supervise midlevels/PAs in the clinic and acute care facility and reviewing charts. Also, you will initiate and actively participate in research projects for which there is no clinic on Friday as this is a dedicated day for research.
